Kunal Kalra
Kunal Kalra is born and brought up in a semi-urban locality at Gurgaon in Haryana. After completing undergraduate studies in Computer Science, he has completed his BFA in Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi and MFA in the Painting University of Hyderabad. He has also been trained in illustration, painting and 3D animation. His works are primarily based on research, investigating the depiction and purpose of life. He explores the interactive genre, involving public participation that entails using multimedia including lights. He has been inspired by liberal self-motivated spirituality which should be free from historical, social or political boundaries. He firmly believes in the assimilation of Science, Philosophy and Arts as a tool to live life at its real and fullest potential. His major works are Dargah-e-ayenaah, Fatalist’s Game, Territory of the Winner.
